My kids were getting sunburned no matter what we put on them at swim camp because they are in the hot Florida sun all day, and regular sunscreens also made their skin hurt. We switched to Waxhead and the stuff is amazing. You can see the water literally ball up and drop off their faces- the sunscreen stays put. I feel really good about the ingredients and they have no more sun burn!

Love the light cocoa scent. Goes on easy, and if it’s too heavy on my face I wipe some off my cheeks onto the backs of my hands, so the palms of my hands aren't covered in sunscreen. Stays on for sports and biking. It has a mineral cast but the tint helps, rather than looking like I have an ashen face.

I've been using this tinted sunscreen stick for well over a year. I work outside and I have very fair skin, so sun protection is essential. Until I found this product, I have never been able to use ANY sunscreen/sunblock. I am sensitive to most commercial ingredients. The few ingredients in this stick are natural and non-irritating to my eczema prone skin! In fact, it's almost soothing. The color seems to blend right into my fair skin. Occasionally, the color (cocoa powder) will stick to dry patches and look a little uneven. Not a problem though. This product is literally my everyday foundation now. It works great on my face. (I do have super dry skin). Scopping a little blob out and warming it in the palm of my hand makes it easy to spread.

I bought this stick for trekking abroad and tried it at home. Good product for travel through airports and I've found no staining from the tinted version on my first few applications.

I’ve used a lot of reef safe sunscreens and this is by far the best. I have not had any run so far when it gets wet, no more stinging the eyes! Very sticky, definitely has some staying power. I’ll rub and touch my face while surfing and after 2ish hours, this stuff still works even in the intense Hawaiian sun. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite things about this product is that it doesn't burn or sting eyes. The other kids in our party all ended up with bright red sunburn around their eyes, but because I could spread the waxhead sunscreen right up to the lash line, we had ZERO sunburn, and ZERO crying about sunscreen in kids' eyes.Another big plus is that it is very long-lasting. I didn't reapply it on my kids as often as I had intended to, but the sunscreen stayed put and did its job all day. We might not have been as lucky if the kids had been in and out of the water more frequently, so I still recommend reapplying every 80 minutes.The biggest issue with the tinted waxhead is that it gets everywhere, and requires some special treatment with dish soap before laundering. I was willing to spend the time stain treating all our swimwear and hats, but if you want to avoid that, buy the un-tinted kind.Finally, this stuff smells like chocolate silk frosting when you're spreading it on. Yum.

I have eczema and very sensitive, dry skin. I cannot tolerate a chemical sunblock and in the past have found most mineral products to be drying. Then I discovered moisturizing mineral sunblocks!!! I spend a lot of the day in the sun with my job, so protection is essential. I have tried many different sunblocks and though they worked I wanted to use a tinted product to avoid that ghostly look. Believe it or not, the Wax Head tinted Zinc Oxide sunscreen stick has been a miracle product for my face. It is difficult to spread, so is easier to use on a small surface area. Because it is tinted, I basically use it as foundation. It even covers my red rashes fairly well. It seals in moisture and protects my skin, which is very important for eczema. It also smells faintly of cocoa, which is awesome! For my neck, I use the Wax Head tinted mineral facial suncreen. It spreads more easily.

This stuff worked great. My only issue was it's messy. Once you push it up from the tube you can't push it back down. I was looking for something for my son since he burns under his eyes always. We live in a beach area so he's always swimming and outside. He did still get slightly burned even after applying several times throughout the day. It wasn't as bad as it normally wout be. At the end of the day I do like the product. I liked it wasn't just white. I ordered the tinted and I really like it a lot. I also used it as well as my husband. Neither of us got burned. I recommend the product just wish the product had a twist tube to twist it up and down like deodorant. Oh and everyone in my family thought it smelled like chocolate. Which was awesome lol

My son is a burn patient and he has to wear sunscreen whenever he goes outside. His Doctor recommended that he use Zinc Oxide, and with the tinting, no one can see his scars as well. This does not leave the white sheen on his face and he feels comfortable using it. It works well to block the suns rays and it is easy to apply. I like it because it doesn't have a lot of chemicals in it and it is actually nourishing for his healing skin. Thanks for a great product!

Perfect tint, love that it only has good ingredients. I’m in the sun all the time in SoCal and appreciate all-natural, quality, water resistant sunscreen.

As an Asian with medium fair skin tone, it has a bit white cast left on face, not too obvious tho but it takes some time to blend, I would say tap it on the face is the quickest way to apply. Definitely not an everyday sunscreen. Finishing - semi matte, a bit tacky, there is a chocolatey/coconuty scent which I am not really ok for it, but i believe it goes away if using it for water sport. Spf protection is good for using at outdoor pool, not sure for beach tho as the beach still closed due to covid. Very waterproof n a bit hard to remove with regular facewash, so i usually remove it with makeup remover.

I ride my bicycle 10+ hours a week in the Texas sun. This is the best protection I have found. I have had more than a dozen Basal cell spots removed, I have tried most every sunscreen available. Waxhead stays put for 3+ hours with profuse sweating, it doesn’t burn the skin or eyes like regular sunscreen does when sweating. Really like this stuff!

Pros:
1. Protects you from the sun very well
2. Stays on, even while sweating
3. Smells nice
4. You won't look like you're auditioning as a vampire for the new twighlight movie. You will certainly look different tho - it's almost like a light foundation.

Cons:
1. When I get wet, oh Lord, the cocoa moves around and i look darker in some areas than others in a really weird way haha. It's not much of a problem but keep a mirror around if you plan on sweating!

Fantastic coverage & excellent for the water! We've struggled to find something that lasted...and this is it. Kids luv the coconut scent & I luv the protection/environmental aspect. I prefer tinted as I can see exactly where it is/isn't. Great for swimmers & surfers.

My family and I are loving the sunscreen sport stick . It’s easy to apply (and re-apply) ,feels non-greasy and works wonderfully to protect us from getting sun burned. Waxhead Sun Defense is hands down the best, all-natural / organic sunscreen on the market! As a red haired surfer, I have to be very careful to protect my skin, but want something that I don't have to get out of the water every hour to reapply. Waxhead goes on thick, dries really quickly, and lasts for hours. A little goes a long way and I've even put it on while sweating! Plus, if your kids are little wiggle worms (like mine) when you apply sunscreen, it is the fastest drying sunscreen I have ever used, which makes that chore so much easier! What's not to love??

Sunscreen is usually a battle at our household but not anymore since discovering Waxhead. My kids like the way it feels and said it's not chalky or slimy like others.
